COVID 19 POLICY

This policy has been put in place to ensure the safety of our Staff and Customers.

Please keep all dogs on leads and respect social distance at all times.

No more than 2 customers in Reception at one time.

Please use the hand sanitiser located inside Reception on arrival and departure.

If you or any family member begins to feel unwell please do NOT come onto our premises. If you need to drop a dog off then please telephone first and complete paperwork and payment over the phone. Ideally get someone else to bring your dog in for you. When you come onto site then use the Dog Tie Points (located outside and inside Reception) to facilitate contactless handover. If you or any family member begins to feel unwell and you need your dog collected, ideally please ask someone to collect on your behalf.

If you have been on site recently and begin to display symptoms please NOTIFY US immediately.

If you have arrived back in the UK and are meant to be collecting your dog but have been asked to self-isolate then either we can extend your pet’s stay or you can arrange for a third party to collect your dog on your behalf. We will need your permission to hand your dog over to a third party and payment must have been made in full beforehand.

If you have paid a deposit for a booking which has been cancelled due to the virus most travel companies will allow you to claim this back. We can supply a copy of the receipt as proof. If you are not able to claim it back then we will be happy to give you a credit for your next board with us.

We are advised NOT to accept bedding, toys or owner’s equipment. We will accept food if it is necessary for the dog’s health but would prefer it in the original bag or decanted into a smaller disposable bag if for a short stay.

Oakwood Park Kennels is located on the border of Bracknell and Wokingham with easy road access. Less than ten minutes from the M4 (Junction 10) and fifteen minutes from the M3 (Junction 3) Surrounded by the rich and diverse environment of Big Wood, it is ideally suited to dog kennelling, of which proprietor, Mrs Carpenter, has many years’ experience.
She has successfully competed in breed shows, including Crufts, and working trials, judging occasionally. She was a dog handler and photographic assistant on the production of a major series of dog breed handbooks and encyclopaedia, as well as being co-author of a book on dog training and the responsibilities of dog ownership.
Oakwood Park Kennels was established in the 1980’s but has been under the management of the current owners since 2002. Oakwood Park Kennels is a licensed and insured family business with the family living on site. Specialising in Dog Boarding, our dedicated staff make every effort to cater to each dog’s individual requirements.

BOARDING

Oakwood Park Kennels has four separate kennel blocks of various sizes. All kennels have the same system of an inside kennel and an attached outside run with a pop hatch in between, simple, old-fashioned but effective.

GROOMING

Our fully equipped Dog Grooming Room allows us to offer everything from nail-clipping to a thorough groom out.
